Luz — Decadência e Transformação
Estas 15 gravuras de uma série de 22 foram feitas com a mesma placa de cobre entre 2012 e 2013. A série versa sobre impressões e memórias do Jardim da Luz em São Paulo ao revisitar a mesma matriz de impressão, uma ação similar as sucessivas visitas feitas ao Parque que me levaram a mergulhar com mais profundidade em sua atmosfera.
A placa de 25x25cm foi repetidamente gravada no ácido e um mínimo de 3 provas foram impressas em cada estágio. Cada gravação destruiu o estágio anterior da placa. Enquanto a densidade e as camadas da impressão aumentavam, a densidade da placa diminuia até a completa desintegração da matriz. A distancia entre a primeira e a última imagem ilustra a resposta da matriz de cobre a mais de 80 horas de exposição aos efeitos how to tell a fake daytona rolex corrosivos dos banhos de ácido. As gravuras também mostram como a imagem inicial se dilui e ,ao mesmo tempo, se transforma em formas inteiramente novas.
Luz- Decadência e Transformação é parte de um grupo maior de trabalhos em andamento – desenhos, gravuras, escritos e pinturas – investigando e re-imaginando o Jardim da Luz. Eu comecei esta série pouco após a minha primeira visita ao Jardim da Luz em 1996.

FLORIAN FOERSTER studied printmaking at Manchester Metropolitan University and structural
engineering at Manchester University, United Kingdom. Among his solo shows are exhibitions at the
Goethe Institut (Manchester), Tib Lane Gallery (Manchester), Berliner Philharmonie (Berlin), Saloon
Su De CouCou (Berlin), and Gravura Brasileira (Sao Paulo). He was the sixth bridgeguard at the
Bridgeguard Residency in Sturovo, Slovakia, and has worked extensively in Sao Paulo, including at the
print workshop at the Museu Lasar Segall.
Foerster has won several awards at Manchester Academy exhibitions, and his work is held in private
collections in Brazil, Germany, and the United Kingdom. In addition to his career as an artist, he works
as a structural engineer for buildings and bridges.
