Constanca Lucas

lives and works in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil.   She is a visual artist, poet, illustrator and teacher. She studied engraving with Evandro Carlos Jardim, Regina Silveira, Odair Magalhães and José Moraes. She graduated  in Plastic Arts at FAAP (Fundacao Armando Alvares
Penteado). And  has a Post-Graduation in Arts at the  ECA - USP (School of Communications and Arts of the University of Sao Paulo). Since 1982 has participated in many collective expositions in different countries.

She made several individual expositions in Portugal and Brazil.
She is the author of innumerable drawings published in periodicals, magazines and books.
Her last individual exhibition was held in  August, 2004 at the Gallery of the Gravura Brasileira in São Paulo. 
She has received the following awards :
1986 - Prize of Acquisition (14th Exhibition of Contemporary Art of Santo Andre/SP)
1997 - 1st Prize of Exhibition  (54th Paranaense Exhibition - Museum of  Contemporary Art of Paraná - Curitiba/PR)
1999 - Prize of Acquisition (2nd Exhibition of Contemporary Art  of Vinhedo /SP)
2000 - Bronze Medal (24th Exhibition of Plastic Contemporary Art of  Franca /SP)
2004 - Prize of Encouragement  (10th Exhibition of Contemporary Art of  Sao Bernardo do Campo /SP)

Lives and works in SÒo Paulo, Brazil.
1976 - B.A. in Fine Arts - FundaþÒo Armando Alvares Penteado - SÒo Paulo.
1977 / 1978 - Etching and Engraving Postgraduate course at Slade School of Fine Arts - University College London, England.
1988 / 1991 - Lives in Lisbon, Portugal; works at Atelier Diferenþa and studies specialization course ôGravura a ßgua-forteö with Bartolomeu dos Santos.
1992 / 1995 - Teaches printmaking as a guest artist at  the Atelier  Experimental de Gravura Francesc Domingo at the Museum of Contemporary Art -SÒo Paulo University College. 
1999 / ... - Teaches drawing in her own studio.
2002 - MasterÆs degree in Fine Arts , Escola de Comunicaþ§es e Artes - University College SÒo Paulo.
2003 - Art teacher at Escola da Cidade - Architecture School, SÒo Paulo.
